George and Melissa Gallagher have eagerly
partnered in faith and love since the early days of South Arlington Catholic
School. As the first students met at St. Matthew Catholic Church in 1995 and
the caravan of eager parents helped with move in day here in 1997, they led
with cheers and smiles. Through the years, transitioning to our beloved Holy
Rosary, and now, St. Joseph, these two unquestionably continued their
commitment to Catholic education, the students and their families.
Melissa epitomized our school motto — Teaching
the Mind, Nourishing the Soul — as she formed students and mentored teachers.
George quietly (or not so) stood by her side, and championed our causes and
when we were lucky, received our love and praise for his famous chocolate chip
cookie recipe.
With their open arms and endless patience,
these two are a force —and great examples of servant hearts.
